All the hubbub over the McDonald’s in the Louvre appears to be unfounded. The average Parisian doesn’t give a merde about Big Macs tainting France’s culinary traditions.
McDonald’s, which has had a presence in Iceland since 1993, isn’t faring quite so well. They’ll be closing all restaurants in the country at the end of October.

Gah! I just found this site via your other blog (I'm your friend plumpdumpling on Foodbuzz), and I'm in love! Being from Ohio originally but having living in NYC for 4+ years, I constantly talk about how I can't wait to visit my family just so I can dine at Dairy Queen, Cheesecake Factory, and real Pizza Huts that aren't tied to Taco Bells. I'm Google Readering you so hard right now.

plumpdumpling: Good to see there's another chain-appreciater in the city. I'm lucky enough to have a car in my household or else I would be totally deprived.
